Diaspora Unites To Support Trinidad and Tobago Residents Impacted By Floods

The diaspora is coming together to support families who were impacted by recent flooding in Trinidad and Tobago.

A period of incessant rain last week left parts of the country completely under water with widespread reports of landslides and road-blocks caused as a result. The Coast Guard and Defense Force, aided by the efforts of many citizens were able to help stranded families escape the flooding in their homes. Amidst the flooding, the country was then hit with two earthquakes. One on Saturday October 20th and another on Sunday October 22nd.

Some organizations in Atlanta have come together under a united banner to provide support to citizens in Trinidad and Tobago impacted by the severe flooding. The goal is to have as much impact as possible by reaching out to respective networks and then combining efforts to get the donations into the rights hands when it reaches the islands.
