Does Racism Exist In The Caribbean Or Is It Colorism ?

Welcome to 2BKaribbean’s new content series #KaribbeanKurrent where a few personalities on the team spark discussions on topics relevant to Caribbean music, business and events in the era of COVID-19, fight for equal rights & beyond. Today’s topic , DOES RACISM EXIST IN THE CARIBBEAN OR IS IT COLORISM? The Caribbean is showing solidarity in the fight for equal rights and justice around the world.

However, the participation has also sparked some debate. Caribbean people living in America do not think people living on the islands really understand the systemic racism that exists in the US and Europe. The Caribbean region claps back saying actually they know it all too well and a fight against injustice anywhere is a global fight. What are your thoughts?Does Racism Exist In The Caribbean Or Is It Colorism ?
