Jahazeil Myrie Knocks On The Door Of Musical Success

Jahazeil Antonio Myrie, who goes by the mononym Jahazeil, is a Jamaican reggae recording artist. He is carving out his own distinct lane and creating a unique sound as he establishes himself as one of the emerging talents on the reggae landscape. Jahazeil was born and raised in Kingston Jamaica where he began honing his skills from the young age of sixteen, writing and recording songs under the tutelage of his older brother and renowned dancehall producer Markus Myrie.

WHAT MAKES HIM UNIQUE?

Although Jahazeil has a sound that reflects his main musical influences he also is establishing a strong tone that leaves a lasting impact. He draws from the influence of his father , Buju Banton, and brother and then adds a unique spin with lyrical content that inspires. He wants his musical legacy to live on long after he dies and hopes that his words will inspire and be remembered by at least one person. His music is a contemporary take on reggae music that combines dancehall instrumentals with a message and cadence reminiscent of roots reggae.

HOW IS HE BUILDING HIS MUSICAL LEGACY?

Jahazeil recorded his first song entitled ‘No More‘ in 2015. His most popularly known for his breakout  single ‘Hold On‘ which was recorded and released in 2017. This record was followed up with a few collaborations, notably one entitled ‘False Pretense‘ with  Buju Banton and Markus Myrie. His latest release, ‘At My Door‘ with Spragga Benz has been making waves on the radio. Jahazeil has a lot of music in him that he wants to share with the world, a lot of lyrics and a lot of inspiration.
