Small Business Owner Fights COVID19 with Home-Made Masks

Ingrid Chiles, co-founder of the Carnival inspired business ‘Customized Carnival’ is pulling her weight in the fight against COVID-19. Ingrid was inspired to make a home-made mask after reading an article on Forbes magazine that showed a step by step guide on how to do so. Her social media post of her finished handiwork garnered a lot of positive attention from her network. (Place Order Below)

Business started picking up for her very quickly after the Center for Disease Control put out guidelines to the general public encouraging everyone to wear home-made masks as a measure to stop the spread of COVID-19. There is a particular emphasis on the home-made mask variety, as the supply for personal protective equipment (PPE) for health care workers continues to dwindle while the needs of patients in their facilities continue to grow exponentially.

Recognizing the need in the market, Ingrid decided to use her creative skills as a way to offer a solution in the midst of the pandemic chaos. Her masks are inspired by brightly colored African and Caribbean prints. She labels her designs ‘couture through crisis,’ as she continues to bring joy and fashion in the midst of everything happening around the world.

The masks are 100% cotton, handmade, washable, reusable and wide. They cost $20 for the African print mask and $15 for plain white with a $5 shipping fee. Payments can be sent via Cash App at $ichiles or via Zelle at 864-275-9692. Place your order on the form below.
