Decatur, GA – October 1st, 2014

The annual masquerade ball ‘Masque N Mas’ will be held on Friday, November 14, 2014 at the Callanwolde Fine Arts Center, 980 Briarcliff Road NE, Atlanta, GA 30306. The black tie optional event hosted by Georgia Caribbean Culture, Inc. (“GCC”) is celebrating its third year supporting the cause of new educational programs, research and expanding access to medical treatment for those with Multiple Sclerosis.

This year’s theme is ‘Mask Of Beauty. Mask of Strength. Fight the Invisible.’ A theme that brings to light that many who suffer with Multiple Sclerosis have to wear a daily mask to hide their symptoms from the world and function in many everyday activities despite pain and other side effects. Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system that disrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body.*

The team at Georgia Caribbean Culture, Inc. (“GCC”) invites the community to join them for a night of live music, entertainment, a silent auction and much more while supporting this very worthy cause of promoting awareness of Multiple Sclerosis. “[Last year], it was a magnificent event that captured the elegance of the multiple sclerosis patients’ challenge to fight this disease, and how in the face of adversity, they all wear a ‘mask of beauty, mask of strength,’” said Claire Clements of MSCA.

Tickets are $45.00 per person and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to benefit The Multiple Sclerosis Center of Atlanta (MSCA) on behalf of Stacey Samuel-O’Brien, the guest of honor. Tickets are available online at EventBrite or by calling Krista Ifill at (770) 330-3872 or Claire Clements at (404)361-0205 x123
