Atlanta Cooler Fete 2016
A.C.E. Event Review
Atlanta’s Cooler Fete’s reputation has almost started to outshine the Carnival itself. People fly in from out of town to experience this annual event that takes place a week before Carnival and is hosted by the Demolition Crew. Every year the crowd, the flags, the coolers keep getting bigger and bigger. But 2016, was definitely one for the books. Pure vibes from start to finish. The experienced patrons represented well with their flags, t-shirts and massive coolers. It seemed like the mantra on everybody’s lips for the night was …’Who drinking rum? I drinking!!.’ Lots of people had to be carried out of the event, but did that stop the vibes? Not at all! This year’s DJs included the familiar faces like Back to Basics, One Drop, DJ Touches, John Wayne Movements, Riggo Suave Stage God and Randy Fyah. There were also some newer faces like the DJ Linx from Boom Champions and Kevin Baker. They need a female DJ on that line-up…what you say DJ Sexi K? The tents were a great addition to the event for those who did not want to fight up with the large crowd. But the reality is, Atlanta Cooler Fete has definitely outgrown its location at Jolie Event Center. It was a standing room only affair. Not that anyone was complaining because between the drinking and wining, there was hardly anytime to do anything else but have a great time!
